The Nagano region in central Honshu is home to some of the biggest and best mountains which all score enormous amounts of powder each season. The ‘Japanese Alps’ get hit with consistent storms throughout winter and create some of the best riding on the planet. On this tour we visit the world famous resorts of Shiga Kogen and Nozawa Onsen. Madarao is a lesser known resort we ride but in no way does that reflect the terrain on offer, this place is consistently one of our most popular places with guests every season. Shiga Kogen is arguably the largest ski area in all of Japan with 19 resorts interconnected and huge elevation ensuring cold, dry Japanese powder on tap. Nozawa Onsen is world renowned for its amazing tree riding and you’ll be hard pressed to wipe a smile off your face after a day riding deep powder through these tree runs! This tour is fully hosted and guided by Mint Tours and numbers are capped at 8 guests ensuring maximum time spent on the snow.
