Come and close out winter with us on our end of season shred trip at Mt Bachelor. This long weekend in Bend, Oregon will be hosted by Mint, Salomon and Tactics, plus Salomon team rider Harrison Gordon. Your hosts will bring the hype on and off snow, with plenty of good times to be had all weekend long. There will be industry nights, parties and Salomon will have the 2024/25 range of snowboards and bindings available to demo.

The local Tactics crew who will show you why this volcanic peak comes into it’s own in spring. It’s like one giant skatepark that’s stacked with gullies, wind lips, natural hits and transitions. Local knowledge goes a long way and the Tactics crew know this place inside out. Your guides are on-hand to lead you to the best spots and also give you some tips and insights along the way.

A TYPICAL DAY

After breakfast, drive to Mt Bachelor. Your guides are on-hand to lead you to the best spots and also give you some tips and insights along the way. Join the crew for apres on the mountain before heading back to Bend. Each night you've got events happening in town from product nights, to movies and dinner and drinks with the crew.

4-STAR STAY

Throughout the tour you'll stay in quality accommodation that's in the best location. You'll be staying in downtown Bend at the Oxford Hotel. This is a 4-star boutique hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Single and twin rooms are available.

SNOW & CONDITIONS

Typically when you think of spring riding, sunny days and slushy groomers or corn snow come to mind, but in Oregon it's a different story. Be prepared for late-season storms which dump inches upon inches of snow. Spring is one of the best times of the season to score a pow day at Mt Bachelor, without the crowds.

Itinerary

DAY 1

Arrive at Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) by 1:00 pm local time. Meet your Mint guides and the other guests, load the van and travel 30 mins to Bend by private shuttle. We will check in to the Oxford Hotel, a premium 4-star hotel centrally located in Bend. You’ve got some time to settle in and set up your gear for the adventure ahead. At around 4:00 pm you’ll regroup and head to one of the most well known breweries in Bend for drinks and dinner. If you’re traveling solo, it’s a great way to get to know the other guests and guides.


DAY 2

The group will travel to Mt Bachelor by private shuttle where we will spend the day riding the mountain. For the first day on-snow the aim is to get you familiar with the resort, so a ropes to ropes day is planned. After our first day on the hill, we’ll return to the Oxford Hotel and unwind. In the evening, head to Tactics Snowboard Shop located in the historic O’Donnell Building in the heart of downtown Bend; Meet with the Tactics crew and reps from Salomon Snowboards for a closed-door VIP product knowledge night where you’ll be given and intro into Salomon Snowboards and check out the 2024/25 product range. You’ll also be given the opportunity to shop in Tactics using a VIP discount and have access to pre-order next years Salomon products at and exclusive discount.


DAY 3

The group will travel to Mt Bachelor by private shuttle where we will hook up with Salomon team rider Harrison Gordon and other local Tactics riders where they will guide you around Mt Bachelor and show you why this is one of the funnest resorts to shred in springtime. Salomon with have a tent set up on the mountain where you’ll be able to try out next seasons boards and bindings throughout the day. On Saturday night we will meet up at one of the local breweries in Bend where we’ll do a brewery tour and then the Salomon crew will show their latest team movie.


DAY 4

Repeat of Day 3, if the conditions are favorable, we could hike out to the Cone which provides easy, accessible backcountry spring riding at Mt. Bachelor. In the PM we’ll meet for a final group dinner at one of Bend’s microbreweries and restaurants.


DAY 5

Enjoy the last morning at Bend before heading to Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) by private shuttle for your flight home.

Flights are not included. If you need assistance booking flights, we can recommend the best flight options for the tour.


DO I NEED INSURANCE?
We always recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, theft and/or accidental damage while traveling. ARE LIFT TICKETS INCLUDED?
No. Mt Bachelor is an IKON Pass destination. Bring a valid IKON Pass and use it for the tour. Alternatively you can pre-purchase a 3 day lift pass from Mt Bachelor online.


WHO WILL BE ON MY TOUR?
Your group will be made up of travellers from diverse backgrounds and will be varied in age. Our groups generally mix well due to a shared interest in snowboarding and an eagerness to explore all that Bend has to offer.
