WORLD-RENOWNED PARKS AND WORLD-CLASS FREERIDE TERRAIN

If we’re talking snow reliability, you can’t go past Mammoth Mountain. Not only did they get hit with the Storm of the Decade in January (2.5 metres in 72 hours!), they have already scored more snowfall than they usually see for a whole season.

The Mammoth trip is running in early March which is prime time for powder turns. Our Mammoth trip is all about good times. Spend your week exploring the resort with our local US guide ‘Scotty’ and your evenings exploring the après, breweries and dining that make Mammoth one of the best all-round destinations.

Mammoth certainly has it all for any snowboarder. The highest lift-served ridable terrain in California and some of the best snowboarding in the United States. Not to mention iconic Sierra Mountain views and the famous Unbound Terrain Parks which have options for all levels – 2 halfpipes, 100+ jibs and up to 50 jumps on any given day covering over 100 acres of terrain. Unbound is a mecca for fun and progression.

Unlike much of the Sierra, conditions at Mammoth doesn’t even peak until mid-March. The base elevation is at 9,000 feet and the peak is at 11,053 feet, and when it snows at Mammoth it SNOWS. The big storms tend to pass through Mammoth in mid-February and March making it the best time for scoring Mammoth’s famous deep powder. Even if we don’t get fresh snow, Mammoth’s high altitude and north-facing terrain combine to preserve snow until late June and sometimes later!
