A week of friendly freeriding in Italy's high-altitude powder paradise.

This is going to be a week filled with snowboarding, powder, great food and vino! Arrive in Milan and be transported to a remote region tucked away deep in the mountains of the Alta Valtellina and bordering Switzerland. Our Italian destination of choice is Livigno – a high-altitude powder paradise. Here you’ll find authentic alpine charm in every nook and cranny with a friendly local feel. Spend your days floating surfy turns through the powder and your afternoons and evenings visiting the regions most authentic après bars and our favourite locally owned restaurants.

The ski areas you’ll visit are huge, which is why you’ll have a local snowboard guide leading the way. Each day your guide will take you on an adventure while you cruise the uncrowded, perfectly groomed or powder-filled slopes. Your guide is also a qualified snowboard coach, so if you’re looking to level-up, you can always get a few tips along the way to improve your riding. All lift tickets and guiding is included throughout the tour.

For comfort, you’ll stay in a cozy 3-star, slope-side hotel with incredible snowy views. Every room has twin beds and ensuite. Breakfasts are included. Each evening, head out with your Mint Women host where you will enjoy incredible Italian culinary experiences. Perfetto!

Highlights

High-altitude powder paradise!

Livigno receives heavy snowfall from early November until early March and the majority of the resort's slopes are well above 2,000m elevation with north-east to north-west aspects, ensuring premium snow conditions. There's more than enough terrain to explore over the course of the week. From powder bowls, fun tree runs and gullies, Livigno has it all!

Highlights

Premium is the new Normal

We'll make sure your stay is premium in every way. You'll stay on-mountain in a modern ski lodge featuring a mix of traditional materials and contemporary design. The rooms are equipped with heavenly soft beds, a large bathroom to freshen up, a balcony with a mountain view where you can simply hang out and enjoy the peace during some downtime. A healthy breakfast is served everyday with over 70 organic and Fair-trade foods to choose from.

Highlights

After-dark

Each evening, join your guide to explore the many dining and drinking options in the Livigno area. It’s not just the snow that make Livigno one of our favourite destinations – its tax free status is a massive draw. The après ski is some of the most affordable you’ll find – a fraction of what you’d pay over in St Moritz with a glass of vino costing as little as €3 in some bars. The town is home to a hearty amount of restaurants, serving nonna’s favourite recipes and terrific cheese fondues thanks to the local Swiss influence.

Highlights

Level-up with Tips & Feedback

Each day you will be riding with our local Livigno snowboard guide. Local knowledge goes a long way, and they'll be on-hand to find you the best snow and terrain. Your guide is also a qualified snowboard coach who has years of experience helping riders level-up. They are always happy to pass on her knowledge and experience to help you up-skill.

Highlights

Food & wine

No trip to Italy is complete without enjoying the local food and wine. Many of the Livigno restaurants are family owned, and have been for generations. So, where to dine? For a start, you can’t go wrong with pizza anywhere in Italy, paired with local wines from the vineyards of Valtellina and cheese’s from the local dairy farms. If you are the kind of person who likes to try regional cuisine – these areas have some very tasty mountain dishes and most of the restaurants will serve up their own local specialities.

Highlights

Livigno Resorts

Livigno is a high-altitude powder paradise. The resort caters to all ability levels, with everything from wide open rolling pistes, tree runs, one of the most famous terrain parks in Europe to high alpine freeride terrain. The resort has over 125km of marked trails and many more off-piste areas. All this is served by a modern lift system that is spread across two mountain ranges. Our local guide Carlo has years of experience riding the resorts and he knows every secret spot on the mountain and in the town.

THE RESORTS

Livigno resorts are split in half by a long valley. Each side of the valley has its own ski resort and both resorts are connected by ski-bus that loops around the village. The trails at these resorts are dwarfed by the extent of the off-piste & backcountry terrain. The majority of the resort's slopes are well above 2,000m elevation & north-east to north-west aspected, ensuring premium snow conditions. The off-piste terrain is wide-open and undulating and perfect for anyone wanting to have a fun freeride experience.

THE TOWN

Livigno has it all. Shopping, dining, bars and culture. The architecture of the town is beautiful, everything is built chalet-style and rustic wooden barns and traditional old houses sit side by side the small hotels and apartments which gives the place an attractive alpine charm. In the evenings Livigno comes into its own, with over 100 restaurants and bars, there's something to suit every budget and appetite from pizzas to Michelin starred restaurants. The locals are a laidback and friendly bunch, which helps to create the great atmosphere of the town.

FOOD & WINE

No trip to Italy is complete without enjoying the local food and wine. Livigno has a tempting choice of restaurants in addition to the dozens of bars. Many of the restaurants are family owned, and have been for generations. In each of the restaurants, the chefs embrace local and seasonal products. There are various modern interpretations of traditional flavours, from beetroots to lamb and winter strawberries. The creative minds in the kitchen look for ways to make the food tell a story of the regions history, its unique location, and the people who live there today.
