The United States is home to more than 450 resorts, ranging from one-chair hills to major destination resorts. The West Coast of the United States offers some of the country’s steepest terrain and deepest snow. Areas range from local resorts outside of Los Angeles, to international destinations like Mammoth, Heavenly and Squaw Valley. Further north in Oregon are the unique resorts of Mt Hood and Mt Bachelor which have passionate mountain communities and some of the best riding in the Pacific North West. The Rocky Mountain resorts are known for having world class facilities, reliable snow, a longer season with great riding from December through till the end of April and consistently good weather. Vail, Breckenridge, Steamboat and Aspen Snowmass offer some of the best riding options on the planet, while resorts like Jackson Hole, Telluride, Grand Targhee and Crested Butte cater to those after ‘steep & deep’ and an authentic mountain experience.
