Content Creator – Assistant Videographer
Winter 2025–2026 (Seasonal Position)
Location: Hokkaido and Honshu
Mint Tours is looking for a talented Content Creator – Assistant Videographer to join our crew in Japan for the 2025–2026 winter season. This is a seasonal role ideal for someone who’s confident on snow, skilled behind the lens, and quick on the edit—especially when it comes to creating daily social content that captures the Mint experience.
You’ll be embedded with our tours across Hokkaido and Honshu, riding and filming each day alongside our guides, guests, and visiting pro riders. It’s a fast-paced role with minimal downtime and long days on the move—but you’ll gain valuable experience, build your portfolio, and work alongside a highly professional and experienced team. You’ll also have the chance to collaborate with professional snowboarders and contribute to content for global brands. For the right person, it’s the best seat in the house.
Your main focus will be capturing and delivering fast-turnaround content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, while also supporting our lead videographer on larger brand campaigns and edits.
Key Responsibilities
- Shoot and edit daily short-form content for Mint Tours’ social channels
- Ride with guests, guides, and professional snowboarders to capture authentic, in-the-moment footage
- Connect with tour participants and crew to help tell a natural, behind-the-scenes story
- Support the lead videographer on larger shoots and brand projects
- Organize and manage media files and maintain editing workflows
- Communicate with the marketing team to deliver assets quickly and to spec
- Be part of the Mint crew—adaptable, positive, and always down to get amongst it
You Must Have
- The ability to connect naturally with guests and guides
- Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Strong video shooting and editing skills (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
- Advanced snowboarding ability with confidence riding in all conditions—resort and backcountry
- A high level of fitness and endurance for long, active days on snow
- Fast turnaround skills—daily edits are a non-negotiable
- A mature, professional, and self-managed approach
- Your own camera gear (please include a kit list with your application)
- A valid Japanese or International Driver’s License
- Fluency in English
- A valid Working Holiday Visa or appropriate work rights in Japan for the 2025–2026 winter season
Bonus Points For
- Still photography skills
- Experience working with snowboarding brands, athletes, or tourism operators
- Familiarity with Japan’s resorts and winter travel
- Japanese language ability (not required, but helpful)

We’re flexible on start and end dates. Work hours and start / end dates may vary depending on weather, guest bookings, and how the season unfolds—so a flexible attitude is key.
