DAY 1 : Your Austrian Freeride Adventure Begins!
Welcome to Innsbruck, the heart of European snowboarding! Make your way to Innsbruck Airport (INN) or Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (HBF) where your guide, a fellow mountain enthusiast, will be waiting to greet you. From there, it’s a quick 10-minute transfer to our centrally located accommodation in Innsbruck’s historic Old Town – your basecamp for the next 6 nights of epic riding.
Upon arrival, your guide will ensure a smooth check-in, leaving you time to unpack and gear up. Then, we’ll dive straight into the vibrant energy of Innsbruck with an afternoon exploring the charming Old Town. Get ready to soak in the history and culture that sets this snowboarding hub apart. To kick off our adventure in true Austrian style, we’ll head to one of Innsbruck’s most legendary beer halls for a traditional and hearty welcome meal. If you’re joining us solo (and many of our stoked riders do!), this is the perfect opportunity to connect with your fellow tour mates. Let the good times (and great snow) roll!
DAYS 2-6 : Storm Chasing Austrian Style!
Get ready for five epic days of riding in the legendary Austrian Alps! Forget rigid itineraries – we’re all about riding the absolute best resort each day, dictated by Mother Nature’s generosity. With over a dozen incredible freeride destinations within a 30-70 minute radius (depending on snow depths and our collective thirst for adventure), we’ve got a powder-packed playground at our fingertips.
Here’s the daily drill for maximizing shred time:
Mornings – Enjoy a leisurely breakfast buffet – gotta fuel up for a big day! Your guide will give the lowdown on the day’s weather and snow forecast, with a typical departure around 7:30 am. Van loaded? Let’s roll!
Throughout the Day – First Tracks, Secret Stashes, Epic Lines: Once we hit the resort, it’s game on for a full day of on-mountain bliss. Each day, we’ll ride to the conditions – if it’s deep, we’re staying out all day, shredding until our legs burn. Expect on-mountain lunch breaks where you can sample some authentic Tyrolean specialties – fuel for more face shots!
Afternoons – Après Done Right: When the lifts stop spinning, the Austrian après scene ignites! Your guide will gauge the group’s energy and enthusiasm to craft the perfect après experience. Think classic Europop anthems, celebratory shots (or two!), and that unmistakable Austrian vibe. We’ll typically be back at the hotel around 5:00 pm, stoked and ready for more.
Evenings – Innsbruck’s Culinary Delights: Each night, we’ll gather for a group dinner at one of Innsbruck’s many fantastic local restaurants. Our hotel’s prime location puts us steps away from a buzzing scene of traditional eateries and lively bars. Get ready to savor regional delicacies, washed down with local Tyrolean beers and schnapps – the perfect way to recount the day’s epicness. For those with energy to burn, Innsbruck’s nightlife is right outside our door, offering plenty of late-night spots to keep the good times rolling.
DAY 7 : Auf Wiedersehen Friends!
Sadly, even the best adventures must eventually draw to a close. After an epic week of shredding Austrian gold, it’s time to bid farewell to your awesome guide and the incredible new friends you’ve made. We’ll ensure a smooth transfer back to Innsbruck Airport or the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your Austrian freeride escapade. For those not quite ready for the fun to end, our Arctic Roadtrip led by Christina in Finland kicks off in a few days – the perfect way to keep the snowboarding journey going!
