Experience life above the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland
This isn’t your average snowboard trip. With experienced guide Christina Bruno leading the way, you’ll explore Lapland’s remote terrain—riding wide-open fells, powder-filled forests, and frozen landscapes that feel a world away from the everyday. Set against the magic of Arctic winter, this tour is about discovering new zones, chasing snow under pink skies, and sharing the ride with a supportive, inclusive crew that’s in it for the full experience.
Our Arctic Tours take you to the northernmost reaches of Finland, deep in the heart of Lapland—a land of frozen lakes, Arctic fells, dark winter skies, and the elusive Northern Lights. You’ll ride at Pyhä and Luosto, two of Finland’s most northerly ski areas, where consistent snowfall and cold temperatures create ideal powder conditions throughout the season.
But this journey is about more than just snowboarding. Off the mountain, you’ll experience Arctic life in full: chase the aurora across starlit skies, race huskies through silent forests, unwind in a traditional smoke sauna, plunge into an ice-covered lake, and enjoy fireside Lappish feasts in a cosy kota. It’s a full immersion into the magic, traditions, and raw beauty of the far north.
Your base for the week is a luxury, slopeside apartment reserved exclusively for our group—your own private sanctuary in the Arctic. With panoramic views across the fell, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a big day out. The apartment is spacious, stylish, and designed for gathering—whether for fireside chats or shared meals. Outside, soak in the balcony jacuzzi beneath the stars (and, if you’re lucky, the Northern Lights), then head to your private sauna for the ultimate post-ride recovery.

Guiding at Pyhä and Luosto Ski Resorts
Get ready to explore two of Finland’s best-kept snowboarding secrets—Pyhä and Luosto—right in the heart of Arctic Lapland. With Pyhä Ski Resort quite literally on our doorstep and Luosto just a short drive away, you’ll spend your days riding through snow-laden forests, wide-open fells, and quiet powder stashes with barely another soul in sight. The scenery is pure magic—frosted trees, rolling Arctic terrain, and soft northern light that turns the landscape dreamlike. Whether you’re carving mellow groomers or dipping into playful off-piste zones, your guide will be right there with you, sharing local knowledge and happy to offer tips to boost your confidence. It’s all about soaking up the experience, riding incredible terrain, and enjoying every moment in this remote, snow-filled wonderland.
Intro Backcountry Day
Our backcountry day is the perfect introduction for riders ready to venture beyond the resort boundaries. With expert guidance, you’ll learn essential skills like how to use avalanche safety gear, read terrain, and move efficiently through untracked snow. It’s a low-pressure, high-reward day designed to build your confidence while exploring the stunning Arctic wilderness.
Traditional Lappish Smoke Sauna and Ice-Swimming
Experience a traditional Lappish smoke sauna in a cozy cottage and take a dip in an Arctic lake! A traditional wood-heated Finnish smoke sauna is a uniquely Lappish experience that takes place by Lake Pyhäjärvi. Let the heat purify your body as the wintery magic of Lapland purifies your soul. It is a place for cleansing and tranquility. While we do our best to prepare you for an evening in the wilderness, it’s up to you decide how you want to spend your time. The classic Lappish way is to spend 5-10 minutes in the sauna and then jump into ice cold water, or even a pile of snow. Switching back and forth between the hot and cold is a ritual with its own raw appeal. Our sauna is located on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi, so swimming to cool off goes hand in hand with sitting in the heat. We have a hole cut in the ice and you can take a dip in the freezing cold water. A cold plunge after a steamy session increases your blood flow, relieves stress and boosts your endorphin levels.
Husky Safari
A husky safari is a truly thrilling experience, especially when you have the chance to be a musher in control of your own team of dogs. Experience the excitement of the dogs as they eagerly wait to pull you at a speedy pace through the breath taking Lappish scenery. Before departing on the safari, you’ll be instructed how to control the sleds, which you get to ride in pairs. When sharing the husky sleigh on the safari, one person is standing behind the sleigh as a controller and one is sitting on the sleigh as a passenger. Once you return to the farm, relax by having a chat with the head musher about these amazing northern animals. Included is instruction and thermal clothing.
Northern Lights hunting
The Arctic Circle, this is THE BEST PLACE to witness the northern lights. If the conditions are right, we’ll drive to a the best place to view the Northern Lights and to experience the exoticism of an arctic night. Leaving the illuminated village behind, the dark wilderness will soon envelop you. The snow, glittering under the moonlight, paints the scenery with its magical shine. Your guide leads you towards the best spots to find the Northern Lights. With a little luck, you can witness the sky dancing in the fiery shades of green.

Helsinki is a fantastic city brimming with culture, fashion, and delicious food – well worth exploring before we head to the mountains.
Are Flights Included?
No, flights are not included, but Mint can provide you with a list of the best flights to book to match up with your tour and arrival or departure times.
Do I Need Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance is mandatory. Your travel insurance must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses, snowsports and emergency repatriation. We also strongly recommend it covers trip cancellation, curtailment, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. For US citizens, we recommend Spot Insurance https://www.getspot.com/trip-affiliates/mint-tours.

Once you sign up for a tour, you’ve got a dedicated tour manager as your point of contact. They can assist with any pre-trip questions about flights, transfers, insurance or what gear to bring. Your tour manager can also arrange pre or post tour travel to other resorts or cities.
