Join us in Steamboat, Colorado for our mini break snowboard powder tours

Are you time poor and just need quality skiing and riding without having to learn a new resort trail map?  Then our mini break US ski and snowboard tours are designed to give you everything Mint Tours is known for, but condensed into a short and sweet all-inclusive tour.

You’ll spend 4 nights and 3 days skiing and riding Steamboat’s patented Champagne Powder ®, then after each day stop by the slopeside après ski bars or head downtown and enjoy the ‘Boat’s relaxed ski-town vibe, with countless popular restaurants and bars rich in Western Colorado heritage.

Spanning across 4 peaks, Steamboat is one of the largest ski resorts in Colorado, boasting over 1200 hectares of intermediate to advanced terrain. Go exploring perfectly spaced trees off-piste, take a hike and ride some of the incredible backcountry on offer, or tackle chutes and gullies that live up to their double-black ratings. Steamboat also boasts perfectly manicured terrain parks, banked courses and an impressive 18 foot Superpipe.

To maximise time on-snow, you’ll stay at the Steamboat Grand – Steamboat’s flagship hotel featuring beautifully appointed guest rooms just 100 metres away from the ski lifts. And with your host Scott sharing his local knowledge of Steamboat’s ‘secret spots’ you can be confident of finding the best snow conditions each day.

ABOUT STEAMBOAT RESORT

Located in North-west Colorado, Steamboat Springs, aka. ‘Ski Town USA’!, is home to some of the best snow conditions in the Northern Hemisphere. With over 8.9m of their famous ‘Champagne Powder’ annually, the resort is a powder pig's paradise making the tree riding alone worth making the effort for. Spanning across 4 peaks, Steamboat is one of the largest ski resorts in Colorado, boasting over 1200 hectares of mainly intermediate to advanced terrain.

ABOUT THE MOUNTAIN

Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range: Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge, and Christie Peak. 2,965 acres (1200 hectares) of permitted terrain offer a diversity of trails for all levels of ability. Gladded areas of Pioneer Ridge, Sunshine and Storm Peak are Steamboat's particular claim to fame, with legendary Champagne Powder® snow in the trees for the most avid powder hounds.

SNOW & CONDITIONS

With an annual snowfall of 314"/797cm it's fair to say conditions will be good from early season right through to spring in Steamboat. However, in December Steamboat typically peaks much earlier compared to other spots in Colorado, and it gets more dependable snowfall early. Then in February, the base is at its deepest with plenty of big storms hitting the mountains making for a ton of terrain to cover only three days.

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSFERS

Our lodging is the Steamboat Grand located at the base of the Steamboat Ski area. Rooming is based on twin share in a queen / queen room and single share upgrades are available. Private airport transfers are from Denver International Airport and based on a set scheduled pick-up / drop-off time. Driving from Denver International Airport (DEN) takes between 3 and 4 hours on most days - the scenic drive is breathtaking!
