A WEEKEND OF SKILLS TRAINING, SHUTTLES AND GOOD TIMES IN THE VIC HIGH COUNTRY

Join us this summer for our MTB skills coaching and guiding tour of the rooftop of Victoria’s Alpine National Park, Falls Creek. This all-inclusive, hosted program is best suited for novice to intermediate riders wanting to progress their bike skills in a relaxed, professional environment.  Then in the cool summer evenings you’ll sample local craft brews and experience regional produce with chef prepared meals all weekend.

Falls Creek Mountain Bike Park has some of Australia’s most talked-about trails, featuring manicured flow trails, technical downhills and plenty of cross country singletrack that start and finish at our ride in/ride out accommodation. We include two full days of shuttles so you spend more time riding downhill over the 40km+ singletrack, winding through the serene snow gums and brilliant alpine terrain. This is a destination for some serious mountain biking fun!

The progression tour is guided and hosted by experienced mountain bike coaches with first aid certificates, bike repair skills and local knowledge to ensure your time on the bike and trails are safe and fun.  No need to pull out the trail map as our guides are always on-hand to select terrain best suited to your ability and then work on riding techniques so you comfortably progress over the two days.

I'M NEW TO MOUNTAIN BIKING

Don't be put off by the myth mountain biking is too extreme. Did you know 70% of riders prefer to ride beginner and intermediate trails? At Falls there's over 10km of trails deliberately built friendly for those new to mountain biking, even for your first time on a bike! The green trails are perfect to learn the ropes (and figure out the difference between a berm and a roller) and all trails start and finish in the village right by the shuttle pick-up.

ABILITY & FITNESS

This tour is open to riders of all ability levels, but best suited to novice to intermediate riders. Each day your bike coaches will work through a progression program to build basic skills and ensure bad habits are broken. Probably the most important aspect of mountain biking is the willingness to sharpen your skills. If you don’t quite have the fitness to tackle some of the big ascents, don't worry. You've got two days of gravity shuttles included to take you back to the top after each descent.

ACCOMMODATION

Throughout the tour you'll stay in single share lodging with bike friendly facilities that is centrally located in Falls Creek. The rooms are equipped with queen beds, private ensuite bathroom, TV, and free WiFi. Cooked breakfasts and dinners are included each day. Our lodge has an incredible mountain view lounge and an amazing spa and sauna facility.

FRIDAY TO SUNDAY

Join us for a weekend in North East Victoria's High Country. Arrive after work on a Friday and get ready to spend the next 2 days smashing some serious vertical as our local guides show you why Falls Creek has the rep of being one of Australia's premiere MTB destinations. On Friday night our guides will be on-hand to greet you and help you settle in. On Sunday, our tour concludes in at Falls, but extra nights accommodation and riding are always on offer.

TRANSPORT

You will need to make your own way to Falls Creek by the set meet & greet time at our accommodation to meet your hosts. For the rest of the tour it's either shuttles uphill or downhill singletrack riding all the way. If you cannot get to Falls Creek we can link-up you with other guests for ride-sharing.

LOCAL HOSTS

This tour is hosted by our local MTB team. Not only do they know every marked trail, they are looking forward to showing you some of their ‘local’s only’ secret spots. Their big mountain experience makes them the perfect hosts for the weekend. They are always more than happy to provide you with some tips and feedback on the mountain, and share a beer and some laughs at the end of the day.

Highlights

10km Gravity Trail

Falls Creek boasts an unbroken 10km gravity trail linking up stand-outs High Voltage, Wishing Well and the brand new Flowtown. All up this is a 525m descent and takes in awesome terrain with berms, jumps and flowing built features all the way from the Summit to the Ticket Box.

Highlights

Bikes & Beers

At the end of every ride we'll head back to the lodge for a couple of local brews and relax enjoying mountain views from the balcony. Each evening we'll enjoy chef prepared meals featuring regional produce.

Highlights

Gravity Shuttles

On this gravity-fed tour we include two huge days of Falls Creek MTB shuttles meaning you'll spend more time working on your bike skills and less time peddling uphill.
