Hakuba is one of the most popular and well-known resorts on the main island of Honshu. With easy access from Tokyo and accommodation to suit all budgets, it’s a great resort for short or long stays. The village is set against an impressive mountain backdrop with 9 resorts lined up along a 20km+ valley area. With so many resorts and a variety of terrain there is something for every rider. Hakuba is renowned for great powder with 10 metres of snowfall annually; the terrain won’t disappoint either. With so many resorts within close proximity of each other, you can access varying amount of terrain. Hakuba offers up some amazing groomers and piste riding, however if you’re chasing some side-country and backcountry options your best bet is to ask us about backcountry guiding services as much of the terrain is out of bounds but can be accessed with a qualified guide.
