Terms and Conditions

OUR SERVICES AND OBLIGATIONS

  1. What we supply to you is the arranging and co-ordinating of your travel, accommodation, entertainment, activities and ancillary services and the making of bookings, and issuing tickets and vouchers to be redeemed by suppliers.
  2. For our part we undertake that we will exercise reasonable care and skill in carrying out the above services and in the recommendation or selection of carriers, accommodation, side trip and activity suppliers.
  1. We are sales agents for the services and products to be supplied by principals. Accordingly all tickets, vouchers, coupons and other service orders are issued subject not only to the general terms and conditions applying to our transactions but also upon those terms and conditions upon which the transportation, accommodation, activities, entertainment, or other services or products are supplied.
  1. When issued by the principal, the principal’s contract shall unless inconsistent with the law of Australia constitute the sole agreement relevant to the supply of that particular service or product and shall be governed by the regulations and by-laws of that principal subject always to the applicable law in the country in which the service or product is supplied.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All reservations are subject to availability. Verbal quotes are regarded as an estimate and prices are only confirmed with a written quote. All written quotes are subject to change at anytime.

Prices
All rates shown are per person, in $AUD, unless otherwise specified. All prices quoted are based on current rates, (including foreign exchange rates) and accordingly are subject to change without notice. Please check all prices with Mint Tours before booking.

Currency Adjustment Policy
Products and prices are subject to change until Mint Tours receives full payment based on the current rate of exchange in its offices. Any variation to listed prices will be based on the rates available to Mint Tours at the time the deposit is paid by the client and again on payment of the final balance. Our exchange rate at date of deposit is only taken into account for amount of deposit paid to overseas suppliers. Mint Tours may take out foreign exchange contracts to protect the client and Mint Tours from excessive adverse movements in exchange rates. Therefore, the foreign exchange rate applied to client payments may differ from the current market rate. Once full payment, including any quoted surcharge has been received prices are guaranteed.

Late Bookings
Mint Tours reserves the right to charge late booking fees for any booking made inside of 14 days of departure. A credit card number must be provided to Mint Tours to guarantee against changes and cancellation fees. This needs to take place before any late booking can be made.

Deposit Payments
A non-refundable deposit of AUD $500 per person is payable within 3 days of confirmation of booking, unless otherwise stated. A higher deposit of up to 50% may be required by select hotels/apartments and over the Christmas period.

Balance Payments
For FIT bookings, the balance (or final payment) is due in full 30 days (Australia, New Zealand) or 60 days (USA, Canada, Europe, Japan) prior to departure. Bookings made within this period must be fully paid upon confirmation.

For tour bookings, the balance (or final payment) is due in full 60 days (Australia, New Zealand, South America) or 90 days (USA, Canada, Europe, Japan) prior to departure. Bookings made within this period must be fully paid upon confirmation.

Cancellation Fees
For FIT bookings, a cancellation made outside of 65 days will incur a minimum fee of $200 per person plus any charges levied by ground operators, hotels, airlines or lift companies. A cancellation made within 65 days before departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.

For Tour bookings, a cancellation made outside of 65 days (Australia, New Zealand, South America) or 95 days (USA, Canada, Europe, Japan) will incur a minimum fee of $500 per person plus any charges levied by ground operators, hotels, airlines or lift companies. A cancellation made within 65 days (Australia, New Zealand, South America) or 95 days (USA, Canada, Europe, Japan) before departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee of the total booking amount.

Airfares are subject to up to 100% cancellation fee once tickets are issued. Any refunds due cannot be processed until the relevant funds have been returned by suppliers to Mint Tours. Insurance covering cancellation is strongly advised as some cancellation penalties are strict. Refunds will not be given for unused accommodation, car rental, transfers, ski passes, rentals, lessons and activities.

Amendment Fee
A charge of $50 will apply for each and every amendment after booking instructions have been received. The charge is in addition to any cancellation fees that may apply.

Credit Card Charges
A 1.8% (Mastercard, Visa) merchant fee will be added if a credit card is used for payment. If cancellations are made, the merchant fee will not be refunded. We do not accept AMEX.

Travel Insurance
All passengers must travel with adequate insurance cover. A comprehensive policy should be taken out at the time of booking. Mint Tours can arrange this cover on your behalf.

Not Included in Cost of Holidays or Services
Cost of passports, and visas where required, items not specified as being included, airport taxes where applicable, laundry, telephone calls, food not included on regular menus, ski or equipment hire, lift passes (unless stated), and any other item of a personal nature.

Acceptance of Bookings
Bookings are accepted subject to the services or accommodation applied for being available. Mint Tours and/or its agents reserve the right, without notice, to modify, cancel or withdraw any or the arrangements and in this event the full amounts paid will be returned to the customer, and upon rendering the same, all liability of Mint Tours and/or its agents in respect thereof shall cease. Mint Tours and/or its agents reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any party at any time. Bookings with Carriers are also subject to the Carriers’ terms and conditions as printed or referred to in their tickets and/or timetables and/or regulations.

Passports and Visas
It is your responsibility to arrange all necessary passports and visas. Please make sure that these are in order before travelling.

Snow Conditions
It should be understood Mint Tours cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for snow conditions. No holiday or tour can be cancelled, altered or amended on the basis of weather conditions.

Children
Please notify your travel agent whether you are travelling with children and their age at the time of travel.

Lift Passes
Lift passes are included as stated. In Europe, some lift passes may require a passport photo and in the USA, Aspen resort requires a photo for certain lift passes. No refunds can be given for any unused days on lift passes included in the tour and holiday packages, should the days not be fully utilised. Certain resorts may impose an additional surcharge for RFID cards or for using cable cars or other lift systems not included in the usual ski lift pass rates. Any such surcharges are payable direct at the resort.

Land Transfers
Land transfers are subject to availability. It is the customers’ responsibility to supply Mint Tours with your arrival and departure flight details at least 30 days prior to departure (Australia, New Zealand, South America) and at least 60 days prior to departure (USA, Canada, Europe, Japan).

Unused Vouchers
No refunds will be given on unused vouchers for accommodation, meals, car rental, transfers and ski passes. 

Security Deposit
In some apartments/condominiums a deposit may be payable in local currency to the keyholder on arrival. This amount will be refunded, less extra charges as indicated.

Additional Charges
Additional charges for linen, cleaning, power or heating maybe payable in some apartment/ condominiums.

Bedding
In any reservation case (hotel/apartment) bedding configuration cannot be guaranteed.

Specific Booking Conditions for Car Rental
For car rental bookings, whilst a make and model is stated with the description, we cannot guarantee the specific make or model and any vehicle within the category booked will be supplied. Please choose your vehicle carefully, ensuring the category booked will meet your specific requirements – allowing for passengers and baggage. If you decide to change your car group at the time of collection, then the additional charge will be levied by the car rental company.

Collection of Your Vehicle
A credit card imprint or cash deposit is required upon collection of your vehicle. You must produce a full drivers licence. You are liable for any charges incurred in the late delivery of your vehicle (24 hour clock operates). No refunds are payable should you deliver your vehicle before the specified time. Your vehicle is required to have a full petrol tank at the time of drop off, otherwise the supplier will levy any fuel charges to your credit card, or deduct from your deposit. Conditions apply to the minimum age requirements, one way drop off fees, additional driver fees, child restraints, the hire of snow chains and ski or roof racks and vary between countries.

Responsibility
Mint Tours and/or its associated Companies or Agents give notice that they act as Booking Agents only for the persons or companies providing or offering the means of travel, conveyance, transport, accommodation or other services and all receipts, tickets, vouchers, coupons or exchange orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which transportation and other services are provided. Mint Tours shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity that may be caused to person or property however caused or arising, during any tour under its management, sponsorship, procurement or otherwise, not withstanding that the Company’s principal may be a foreign Company, corporation or person. So far as the Company shall not be acting as such Booking Agent it shall be deemed to be acting as Agent for the person making the booking. It is the responsibility of the passenger to ensure that they are in possession of the proper travel documents and that they are in compliance with the current government and Transportation companies’ regulations. The right is reserved to modify the itinerary in any way considered necessary or desirable or to change any reservation, and/or means of conveyance, without notice and for any reason whatsoever and without allowance or refund but the extra cost, if any, resulting there from must be paid by the passenger. The right is also reserved to cancel or withdraw any tour, or any booking made for a passenger, or to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of a tour for any reason whatsoever. No refunds can be made in respect of accommodation and meals not utilised and under no circumstances can refunds be made for tours and sightseeing excursions not undertaken. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any detention, delay, loss, damage, sickness or injury however and by whom so ever caused and of whatever kind occurring of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is not on board a carrier or conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or firms. Passage contracts in use by the transportation companies or firms concerned shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. All fares are subject to change without notice. The issuance and acceptance of receipts, tickets, vouchers coupons or exchange orders shall be deemed consent to the above conditions.

TOUR TERMS & CONDITIONS

Disclosure of Risk
Snowboarding, skiing or any adventure activity can involve certain hazards, including sudden weather changes and avalanches. All clients need to realize there is no absolute guarantee of safety. Mint Tours and its contractor’s maintain the right not to run an activity if the circumstances make the activity too dangerous. Mint Tours and its contractor’s will take all practical steps to minimize risk. However, Mint Tours and its contractor’s accepts no liability for death, injuries or illness incurred during your trip. Nor do we accept responsibility for any service provided by any other tourist operators.

Participation
For the benefit of everyone on your tour, Mint Tours reserves the right to accept or reject any tour participant and to remove any participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the other participants. Mint Tours will not refund or cover any cost or expenses incurred for termination of tour arrangements due to unacceptable behaviour.

Accommodations
The accommodations listed on the website are intended to be used on all tour departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, including additional departures on the same date and/or hotel location changes, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those shown. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couples. Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide.

Service Inquiries After the Tour
After returning from your tour, if you wish to inquire about any services provided, please ensure that all correspondence relating to those services is received by Mint Tours (see address below). Any complaint or claim involving the tour services offered on the website must be notified to Mint Tours within 30 days of the tour completion, except where such time limitations are prohibited by law.

As it is difficult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if Mint Tours is not advised of such complaint quickly, any compensation you may have been able to claim could be reduced or even forfeited if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause. In the event of a problem or complaint involving the negligence of any suppliers, sub-contractors, or agents in relation to any service provided to the tour participant, Mint Tours must receive the complaint while on the tour or within 30 days of tour completion.

Photographs or Pictures
Photographs or pictures appearing on the web site should be used solely as an indication of facilities and attractions. Actual facilities and attractions may vary according to itinerary. Maps shown on the web pages may not reflect the actual tour routing should the itinerary change.

Model Release
All Participants agree to usage of photos taken while on trips with Mint Tours, for the sole promotion of future Mint Tours business. If you do not wish to have your likeness used, we require written confirmation, prior to departure on your trip.

Tour Cancellations
Mint Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour before it is confirmed to run. A tour is confirmed to run once it has reached the minimum participants required as defined by Mint Tours. This applies to all tours. Mint Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure, including a confirmed tour, due to circumstances beyond our control. If this occurs you will be given the option of changing to another tour or receiving a full refund. Mint Tours is not responsible for any incidental expense you have incurred as a result of your booking. If you choose an alternative tour and it is at a lower value than your original tour you will be refunded the difference. If the alternative tour is of a higher value, you will pay the difference in price.
