ABOUT THE TOUR
Lying in the heart of the Grand Tetons are two destinations that should be on every snowboarder’s bucket list: Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee. Jackson Hole is renowned for having some of the best intermediate and advanced terrain in North America and boasting over 500 inches of light pow each season, it’s a powder fiends paradise. Explore over 2500 acres of uncrowded runs, rolling groomers, and perfectly pitched chutes, bowls and gnarly ridges aimed at getting you steep and deep in the ‘Wild West’! Barely an hour away is another powder paradise, Grand Targhee, with spectacular views of the surrounding Tetons and incredible off-piste. Each day our guides will focus on taking you to the best zones for powder riding. In the evenings experience true Western American hospitality in the quaint town of Jackson, with local saloon bars serving up the best regional brews and cuisine, including elk and bison.
Your professional guides have an in-depth knowledge of the local area, terrain and conditions. You can be assured we will always find you the best snow conditions available. Our goal is to get everybody on tour enjoying themselves and pushing your riding in a relaxed and fun environment. At night our guides are on-hand to show you around the local area and immerse you in the local culture.
When we are on mountain, we keep our group sizes small for a more personalised experience. This ensures you get the most out of your time with us, and keeping the groups small means less time waiting and more time riding powder!
SNOW & CONDITIONS
Season 2016/17 was one of the snowiest winters on record for Jackson Hole. The region scores it’s biggest storms during January. What you can expect is cold temperatures and deep powder. Most days you can expect to ride powder that’s anywhere from boot to waist deep. Even if we don’t get fresh snow overnight, the cold temperatures and our local knowledge will ensure you’ll be able to ride light, dry snow days after a storm.
We make sure all our guests stay in quality accommodation that’s in the best location. Our twin share rooms are equipped with 2 beds and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Every morning you’ve got a hot buffet breakfast to enjoy in the restaurant and each night you’re close to all the action in downtown Jackson where you can catch up with your guides and fellow travellers over dinner and a few beers.

Throughout the tour, we base ourselves in the heart of Jackson village, close to all the local restaurants, bars, and shops. From town we can experience spectacular views of Jackson Mountain and the surrounding Grand Teton National Park.
Riding at Jackson Hole
For our ride days, we spend our time exploring Jackson Hole Ski Resort, only a 12 mile drive from town. Each day we’ll head to the slopes where your guide will show you the best spots to ride, and where to find the best conditions on the day. Check out one of the terrain parks on offer, or take your pick of one of the many chutes or bowls and lay down some powder turns. After riding we’ll either enjoy some apres at one of the bars at the base of the village (the Mangy Moose is a local favourite) or head back into Jackson for a night on the town. One of the mornings we’ll make the trek to Grand Targhee, just an hour away from Jackson, where you will have the opportunity to ride some epic off piste powder. You also have the option of jumping on a full-day cat skiing tour (additional cost), where you’re guaranteed 8,000 to 14,000 vertical feet in just one day of unbelievable deep, dry, untracked Teton powder on terrain only accessible by cat. Cruise through open bowls, endless glades, and steep tree pitches with Wyoming’s only cat skiing.
We make sure you’re well looked after with our head American guide, Scott Anfang leading the tour.
We stay in Jackson Town at the 49er Inn & Suites. All of the rooms are twin share with ensuite. Each room has 2 comfortable queen size beds and free wifi is available in all rooms. The newly renovated hotel is within walking distance to the Town Square and also the famous Cowboy Bar. An extended continental breakfast is included every morning in the hotel. The hotel also features an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, fitness centre and laundry.
Transworld Snowboarding ticked off Jackson Hole as part of their Bucket List series. See for yourself why it should be on your list here.
Snow & Conditions
We run this tour during the peak of Winter when the snowfall at Jackson Hole is at it’s most reliable. January in Wyoming is usually the coldest month of the year, with the daily average temperature staying well below zero (-12 to -15 degrees). This means snowfall in Jackson Hole remains super light and dry.
Small Group Numbers
We keep our group sizes small so you can get the most out of your time with us. We have our Mint Tours guide on-snow every day and at night they are on hand to show you around the local area.
If you’re travelling solo you won’t be alone. In fact our tour is perfect for solo travellers, we just match you up with someone to room with for the entire time. Not only are our guides with you on-mountain during the day, they keep the stoke going well into the night, so you’ll always have crew to hang out with and places to go.
Suitable for intermediate to advanced snowboarders & skiers.
