Colorado Snowboard Tours
Steamboat Springs & Winter Park
Join us in North-West Colorado for our tour through two of the best powder resorts in North America; Steamboat Springs and Winter Park Resort. This tour runs in the peak of the winter storm cycle to maximise the chances of some epic powder days this place is so famous for. January is prime time to score the legendary light and dry Champagne Powder®.
Local Guides
This tour is hosted and guided by our very own local Steamboat snowboard guide and coach Scott Anfang. Steamboat and Winter Park are Scott’s home resorts, so you’ll be getting off the beaten path and living like a local while on tour.
Winter Park Resort
We begin this tour in Denver and then head to Winter Park for 3 nights. This resort is split into 7 different territories, each one with varying terrain. Follow your guide Scott and he’ll show you his favourite areas on the mountain including; Parsenn Bowl, accessed by North America’s highest six-passenger chairlift. This area is an intermediate-friendly, high-alpine experience, with terrain varying from challenging to chill, starting with a wide-open bowl and ending in glades more than 1,600 vertical feet below. Vazquez Ridge is home to intermediate and advanced terrain and is the very definition of off the beaten path and has some of the most persistent powder stashes on the mountain. The Terrain Park features an 18-foot superpipe and more than 80 other innovative, progressive features for novice to expert park riders. Then there’s our favourite place to ride on a powder day, The Cirque. 399 acres of the most extreme, double-black diamond terrain. This is un-groomed, backcountry riding within a patrolled area accessed by the ‘Cirque Sled’ which allows you to lap this area with minimal hiking. Off the hill there are plenty of great restaurants and bars with an authentic and relaxed North American ski town vibe.
Steamboat
Our second destination is Steamboat Springs for 4 nights. This is one of the largest ski resorts in Colorado, with 1118m of vertical of mainly intermediate to advanced terrain. Explore perfectly spaced trees off-piste, take a hike and ride some of the incredible backcountry on offer, or tackle chutes and gullies that live up to their double-black ratings. The resort also has a world class terrain park and an 18 foot Superpipe. After riding check out the on-mountain après, or head downtown and enjoy the ‘Boat’s’ Wild West ski-town vibe. Not to be missed is a dip in the local sulphur hot springs to soothe those leg muscles after an epic powder day!
