We travel in style in a private van throughout the tour, and it is fully hosted and guided by Mint Tours.
5 NIGHTS & 4 DAYS RIDING IN VALLNORD, ANDORRA
We kick off our tour with four days riding in the famous Vallnord region made up of the resorts Pal, Arinsal, and Arcalis. Being located among rugged mountain ranges close to the Mediterranean, this beautiful part of the world is blessed with abundant snowfall. The north facing slopes receive almost as much snow as Japan! There is terrain here for every level of rider, with long leg-burning groomed runs, easy access to off-piste areas, gullies, trees and and perfectly crafted snow parks with a multitude of features for all riding abilities. The interconnecting resort gondola enables easy transitions between Arinsal and Pal, meaning less time catching lifts and more time riding! Staying in the remote northern-valley of Andorra, Arcalis, we’ll enjoy traditional cuisine and local red’s, and rub shoulders with the locals. See what Riding in Vallnord is like, WATCH HERE
4 NIGHTS & 3 DAYS RIDING IN BAQUIERA, SPAIN
We then head across the border into Spain to ride their largest and best known ski resort; Baqueria. This vast terrain extends across four valleys, offering countless freeriding, off-piste, and side-country options. Whether it’s mellow groomers your seeking, or perfectly-spaced tree runs, Baqueira caters to all riders and is bound to offer some memorable powder runs. We stay in the small village of Valle de Aran, which is a perfect location for riding in Baqueira and the best place to explore the historic Catalan Pyrenees town.

CITY STOPOVER IN BARCELONA
We start and finish this tour in Barcelona, one of our favourite cities in Europe. We spend our final night staying in the Gothic Quarter in the city centre. Step outside your hotel and you can have your pick of what you’d like to do; culture, historic architecture, world-class drinking and dining scene, museums, it’s all on our doorstep. Take a stroll through the laneways of the Gothic quarter, past plazas and 14th-century cathedrals. In other parts of town view the sculptural masterpieces, the creations by Gaudí and his Catalan architectural contemporaries. Barcelona has also long inspired artists, including Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, whose works are on display in the city’s museums. The night holds limitless possibilities in Barcelona. Start with sunset drinks from a panoramic terrace or at a rustic beachside chiringuito. As darkness falls, live music transforms the city: with everything from flamenco to rock at concert halls. Towards midnight the bars fill. Take your pick from old-school taverns adorned with 19th-century murals, plush lounges in medieval chambers or boisterous cava bars. If you’re still standing at 3am, hit the clubs and explore Barcelona’s wild side.
Barcelona Arrival Day / Transfer to Vallnord, Andorra
20 FEB, 2018
Bienvenido Mint Chicks! Welcome to Spain. Your guides will meet you at Barcelona Airport, and then we’ll make our way to our base for the next 5 nights, La Massana, home to the Vallnord Resorts. Located in the remote northern-most valley of Andorra, nestled on the border between France and Spain, this tiny country is made up of rugged mountains, steep valleys and beautiful lakes. Due to its altitude and proximity to the Mediterranean, the Andorra ranges are home to abundant and consistent snowfall. Once we arrive, your guides will check you into our accommodation and you’ve got time to settle in. For the next 5 nights, we are staying at Hotel Magic Ski, a luxury 4 star hotel, magnificently located at the foot of the Vallnord slopes, with direct access to the ski lift. The hotel is equipped with a spa and wellness centre which is usually the first place we’ll head after a long day on the slopes. Once all everyone is settled in, we will hold an informal welcome session at the hotel bar. Grab a drink and settle in as your guides run you through the plan for the tour. We will then enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel so you can get to know the other guests and guides. Each night we have a buffet dinner included at the hotel and after you’ve always got the opportunity to head to one of the local bars to mingle with the locals.
Vallnord Ride Days / Optional heli-ski
21, 22, 23 & 24 FEB, 2018
After buffet breakfast at the hotel, get ready for the day and meet your guides in the lobby. We’ll make the short walk to the lifts. If you’d like some one-on-one coaching, you’ve got the option to join a lesson or a freeride coaching session. You’ll spend 4 days exploring the Vallnord region of Andorra, which consists of three resorts; Pal, Arinsal, and Arcalis. The north facing Arcalis gets almost as much snow as Japan, and with its scenic slopes, and off-piste terrain, it is arguably the best riding in Andorra. It is also a popular destination among pro-riders, playing host to the first stop on the Freeride World Tour, so keep an eye out. Arinsal is known for its long leg-burning groomed runs, and perfectly crafted snow parks with a multitude of features for all riding abilities. The interconnecting resort gondola enables easy transitions between Arinsal and Pal, meaning less time catching lifts and more time riding!
Take advantage of the incredible snow conditions and add a heli-ski day during our time in Andorra. Often voted as one of the top ten places to heli-ski, Andorra offers fantastic value heli-ski for as little as 200 Euros for 2 runs!
After riding each day, head into the village of La Massana for a spot of shopping, or just enjoy the après ski, taking in the sunset with a glass of wine and some tapas. One of the afternoons we will drive to the nearby town of Andorra La Vella to visit the Caldea, Southern Europe’s largest thermal spa complex. Caldea has a mind-blowing variety of different bath’s including an indoor lake, a Turkish Bath, Indo-Roman baths, Aztec baths, the Grapefruit bath and an outdoor jacuzzi with mountains views.
Dinners are included and each night we will meet for a buffet dinner at the hotel. We’ll catch up on all the day’s happenings over dinner, and a few drinks. For anyone wanting to explore the village after dark, we’ll head out to one of the local bars to sample some local red wines, mingle with the locals and practice your Catalan language skills. Salut!

1 MAR, 2018
After breakfast, we’ll check out of our accommodation. Today we leave the mountains behind and head to the coast for our final destination, Barcelona. We check in to our hotel, located in The Gothic Quarter in the centre of the Barcelona’s Old Town. After we check in, you’ve got the afternoon free to explore the Gothic Quarter. This beautiful neighbourhood used to be a Roman village and has some remnants of its ancient past. These days because of the constant modernization it is easy to spot an ancient building right next to one built in the 90s. It is this mix of old and new that brings people from all over the world to stay in the Gothic Quarter. The narrow, winding streets create quite a labyrinth and means that it may take a while to get your bearings. The Gothic quarter has many peaceful squares where you can relax and enjoy the surroundings. However, one of the main attractions, right in the heart of the district is the huge Cathedral which has a stunning courtyard full of plants and oddly, geese.
After you’ve had some time to explore, we’ll meet for dinner. We’ll head to the Plaça Reial which is full of many amazing restaurants and bars and is always packed, day and night. We’ll sample some of the amazing cuisine and celebrate our final night together with a few drinks. After dinner if you’re wanting the enjoy the night-life, we’ll check out a few of the bars and find somewhere to have a drink or a dance
