NOZAWA & CORTINA TOUR

8 NIGHTS I 6 DAYS RIDING

JAPAN SNOWBOARD TOURS

Nozawa & Hakuba Cortina
Ride deep Japan powder and experience the local culture and snowboarding scene with the Mint crew leading the way. On this 8 night tour we ride at two of the best powder destinations in Nagano – Nozawa Onsen and Hakuba Cortina Resorts. This tour is running at the peak of Japan’s snow season, so be prepared. The consistent storms bring massive quantities of light, dry powder snow to this region. Your bi-lingual guides have an in depth knowledge of the areas and will be able to find any type of terrain to suit your ability – whether that be riding mellow tree runs in powder or hucking drops and pillows into steep chutes. At the end of each day, relax in amazing natural onsen (hot springs). Throughout the tour we stay in premium accommodation which is ski-in, ski-out in Hakuba, and slope side in Nozawa Onsen. In the evenings our guides are on-hand to lead the way to the best local restaurants and bars.

About Hakuba Cortina
We spend 4 nights staying at the ski-in, ski-out Green Plaza Hotel at Hakuba Cortina Resort. Located at the northern end of the Hakuba Valley, Cortina is often forgotten about. For those who are in the know, it’s considered to be Hakuba’s best kept secret! Although a small resort, Cortina receives the highest snowfall in the valley, boasting a huge open bowl. With frequent big snowfalls, it offers endless runs of untouched deep powder and challenging tree lines and chutes for powder lovers.

About Nozawa
We spend 4 nights staying right by the chairlift at one of the best Ryokan in Nozawa Onsen, Ryokan Jon Nobi. Nozawa scores epic amounts of pow and has super fun tree riding options, straight off the lifts. January is also prime time for snow. You can expect regular dumps and it’s not uncommon to score frequent waist deep days. Another strong point is the size of the ski area. At approximately 300 hectares and with 50km of courses, it’s one of the largest ski resorts in Japan. What we also like about Nozawa is that it isn’t overly busy. During the tour we ride here mid-week when there is still plenty of fresh tracks to be found. Follow your guides into the trees and you’ll be in powder heaven.
