$2990 PER PERSON
Join Mint Tours on our annual road-trip along British Columbia’s famous Powder Highway. We kick off the tour in Kelowna and along the way you’ll get to ride at Revelstoke, Whitewater & Red Mountain. Our Mint guides will get you involved in the local scene – check out a hockey game, head to the hot springs, drink at craft breweries and hang out at local snowboard shops for VIP events. This tour is hosted by our local Canadian guides who grew up shredding all over the Kootenay Mountains and are looking forward to showing you some of their ‘local’s only’ secret spots. Along the way we travel in our own private Mint truck loaded up with boards and local knowledge. We stay in modern and comfortable hotels and with the Mint crew leading the way, all you have to do is show up and ride, we’ll take care of the rest.
+ Riding the best resorts in BC, along Canada’s famous Powder Highway

+ Getting steep & deep at Revelstoke
+ Riding the lesser know powder magnets, Whitewater & Red Mountain
+ Visiting local snowboard shops and snowboard factories
Canada’s newest ski resort, celebrating its 10th Anniversary this season. With 1,713 m (5,620 ft) – the longest lift accessed vertical of any resort in North America, 3,121 acres of terrain and about 10 m (30-40 ft) of snow annually, it is a big mountain enthusiast’s dream come true. At over 15 km in length, the resort also boasts the longest ski run in North America. If you want to challenge yourself with unbelievably long fall line groomers or deep snow, and if off-piste, tree riding sounds appealing to you, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the place to be.
Located in Rossland, RED delivers 2,877 acres of pristine, unfettered skiing. And, with the expansion to Grey Mountain, this added nearly 1,000 acres of terrain to the equation, bumping RED into the ‘Top 20’ – size-wise in North America. With 7.6 metres (25 feet) of annual snowfall, inbounds cat-skiing, the brand new Get Lost Adventure Centre, it is no wonder the NY Times voted RED their #8 Best Place in the World to Visit in 2008. Also voted the Most Underrated Resort by Skiing in 2012. Fresh turns you don’t have to fight for – that’s RED.
Located just outside of the funky and vibrant city of Nelson, it is hard to describe its true authenticity and abundance of snow. Over 12 m (40 ft) of snow falls each season on 2,044 vertical feet of uncrowded slopes, groomers and remarkable steeps, top-of-the-line tree-riding and endless backcountry. This year marks a new chapter for this legendary resort with a number of upgrades and an expanded Glory Lodge. A key part of the resort’s experience is the legendary food. Whitewater serves up proper Kootenay hospitality with its internationally acclaimed menu. Whitewater is best described by its tagline. Pure, simple and real … DEEP.
When we are on mountain, we keep our group size small for a more personal experience between our guests and guides. Our typical guide to guest ratio is 1 : 5. This ensures you get the most out of your time with us, and keeping the groups small means less time waiting and more time riding powder!
Snow & Conditions
This region scores it’s biggest storms during February. What you can expect on this tour is cold temperatures and deep powder. Most days you can expect to ride powder that’s anywhere from boot to waist deep. Even if we don’t get fresh snow overnight, the cold temperatures and our local knowledge will ensure you’ll be able to ride light dry snow days after a storm.
We make sure all our guests stay in quality accommodation that’s in the best location. Our comfortable twin share rooms are equipped with 2 single beds, and each room has a great heating, private ensuite bathroom, TV, and free WiFi. In Revelstoke we have home cooked breakfasts included, and in Nelson and Revelstoke you have cafe’s in the hotel where you can grab a quick bite before we head off to the mountain each day.
Access to Powder Boards from Trapper Snowboards
Throughout the tour you’ve got access to our fleet of powder boards from Trapper Snowboards. You’ll get to test ride the latest powder shapes from their range. Plus you’ll get to visit their factory in Revelstoke where you will see how these handcrafted boards are made. For anyone wanting to buy a Trapper Snowboard before the tour starts, get in touch, and our guides will have your new ‘custom made’ board waiting for you to ride on day one. Check out their range HERE
Arrive Kelowna + Transfer to Revelstoke
6 February, 2019
Your guides will meet you at Kelowna Airport, we’ll load up our van, and then we’ll make our way to our first stop on the tour, Revelstoke. We stay in a purpose built snowboard lodge, Valley Retreat. Check in, kick back with a beer and enjoy the amazing views from the back deck out to Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Typically on our first night, we’ll tune our boards in the tune room, order some pizza’s and spend the night watching snowboard films at the lodge. We’ll also run a welcome session where your guides will run you through the tour plan and you’ve got the opportunity to ask any questions.
Revelstoke Ride Days
7 & 8 February, 2019
We spend 2 full days riding at Revelstoke. It’s the kind of place you can show up to a week after it’s snowed and still smash pillow stacks of neck deep, untracked blower pow. A big mountain playground located in the heart of the Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges of British Columbia. Revelstoke boasts the longest vertical in North America at 1,713 metres with an annual snowfall of 15+ metres. The resort rivals anywhere for terrain and snow conditions. Revelstoke Mountain Resort is also the only resort world-wide to offer lift, cat, heli and backcountry options from one village base, making the place a hotspot for some of the worlds best riders and film crews.
After riding you’ve got bars, restaurants, snowboard shops to explore in Revy. We’ll also stop by and visit our good mates at Trapper Snowboards. We’ll take a tour of the factory, so you can see how these handcrafted boards are made.
Transfer to Rossland
9 February, 2019
After breakfast, we check out of Valley Retreat, load the vans and depart for Rossland – home to Red Mountain. We make our way across Arrow Lake by car ferry, then make a lunch stop in Nakusp then finish our journey to Rossland. Once we arrive, we’ll check in, then head out to one of our favourite local pub’s, the Flying Steamshovel for dinner, drinks and a game of Neglin with the locals.
Red Mountain Ride Days
10 & 11 February, 2019
We spend 2 full days riding at Red. Red offers steeps, open trees, powder meadows and groomers on 360-degrees of exposure, so you’ll be able to find good snow regardless of the time of year. One of the main reasons to ride at Red is the backcountry access. The resort operates 16 square kilometres of touring-accessed, uncontrolled backcountry. The resort has a long tradition of allowing people to ride where they want so be sure to follow your guides into the trees for the best lines.
After our big days on the mountain you can check out the town of Rossland. This compact mountain town was voted the coolest Mountain Town in North America and we tend to agree. Follow your guides to visit the local restaurants and bars in the evenings and you won’t be disappointed.
Transfer to Nelson
12 February, 2019
Today we’ll load up the vans and depart for Nelson. In the afternoon we’ll check in to our hotel in Nelson, then head to the legendary core snowboard store, Tribute. The guys will put on some beers and hook us up with deals across the store. In the evening we’ll head out to for dinner and drinks at Mike’s Pub, one of the local favourites.
Whitewater Ride Days
13 & 14 February, 2019
Each day we’ll load up the van and make the short drive from Nelson to Whitewater. We spend 2 full days riding here. Whitewater Resort is ‘one of the best powder mountains on the continent’ according to Powder Magazine and for this reason it’s our favourite place to ride in BC. Deep pow, bowls and epic tree runs is what keeps us coming back every season on our Canada Roadtrip Tour. Our guides know this place better than most as it’s their home mountain.
Each day after riding, your guides are on-hand to show you the best of Nelson. This includes amazing craft breweries, great local eateries, dive bars, and pub’s with friendly locals.

Mint Tours Guides
Your professional guides have an in-depth knowledge of the local area, terrain and conditions. You can be assured we will always find you the best snow conditions available. Our goal is to get everybody on tour enjoying themselves and pushing your riding in a relaxed and fun environment.
Small Group Numbers
Our guest to guide ratio is typically 5 : 1. We like to keep our group sizes small so you can get the most out of your time with us. There’s nothing worse than riding with a large group, especially on a powder day! We have our guides on-snow every day. At night we’ll have our hosts on hand to show you around the local area. With our small groups, you’ll feel like part of the Mint Crew and not just another face in the crowd.
Unlimited Access to Powder Boards
All Mint Tours guests get exclusive access to our demo fleet of powder boards from the Trapper Snowboards range.
If you’re travelling solo you won’t be alone. In fact our tour is perfect for solo travellers, we just match you up with someone to room with for the entire time. Not only are our guides with you on-mountain during the day, they keep the stoke going well into the night, so you’ll always have people to socialise with and places to go.
