Join professional athlete and Winter Olympian Anna Segal on her mission to find the best freeride terrain in Myoko Kogen. This is a small group tour where we take a maximum of 6 guests. This tour is based in Akakura Onsen and has access to all 4 resorts in Myoko plus a backcountry day tour to a local secret spot. Myoko Kogen in Japan’s Niigata region is blessed with some of the deepest and driest snow on the main island of Japan. The proximity to Japans North West coastline ensures these big winter storms hit land and drop meters of amazing dry snow all over the Niigata and Nagano regions. Myoko has topped Japans snow totals in seasons past, so it’s not uncommon to be riding waist to chest deep snow on a regular basis! Anna Segal has been a heavy weight on the international Slopestyle scene and is now a highly regarded freeskier and adventurer so she is no stranger to finding great lines. Our local guides are on hand to offer local tips and show you to all the top secret spots.
