JAPAN SNOWBOARD TOURS

Resorts: Myoko & Madarao
Myoko and Madarao have some of the easiest off-piste runs in Japan making it perfect for intermediate riders wanting to improve their tree and powder riding skills. If you want to ride deep powder in perfectly spaced trees, then this tour is perfect for you. Both Myoko and Madarao not only allow riding in the tree’s, they encourage it. They also leave many wide open runs un-groomed which is the perfect way to get used to riding powder. During the tour we’ll have a professional snowboard photographer on hand capturing all the action. At the end of the sessions you’ll be able to download all the images from the day. This tour is running at the the peak of the snow season and at this time of year the Nagano and Niigata region gets hammered with consistent storms that bring massive quantities of light, dry powder snow. Due to it’s close proximity to the Sea of Japan this region scores the highest annual snowfall on Japan’s main island of HonshuWith stats like this, powder is virtually guaranteed. We kick off this tour in Myoko Kogen where we will explore the 4 resorts on offer. This place has a huge amount of terrain and is consistently one of our guide’s favourite places to ride. After spending 4 days hitting all of our secret powder stashes we will head over to Madarao Kogen. This resort has amazing gladed tree runs, epic natural halfpipes and a supernatural freeride terrain park; freeriding heaven. Both resorts have great natural hot springs to rest weary legs and will emmerse you in a real Japanese cultural experience. All airport and resort transfers is included and the tour is fully hosted by Mint Tours. To keep you afloat in the deep Japan powder, all guests get access to our fleet or powder boards from Nitro Snowboards.
